With a long industrial history and strong agriculture and tourism (arts, gastronomy, sightseeing), the East of France is one of the top economic producing regions in the country. Alsace-Moselle are furthermore subject to local law for historical reasons. The region has distinctive traditions such as the celebration of Saint Nicholas Day, Christmas markets, or traditions involving the Easter hare in Alsace and Lorraine. Alsace and Lorraine thrived in the sphere of influence of the Holy Roman Empire for most of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and subject to competing claims by France and Germany over the centuries. The Champagne fairs played a significant role in the economy of medieval Europe as well. The city of Reims (in Champagne), where Frankish king Clovis I had been baptized in 496 AD, would later play a prominent ceremonial role in French monarchical history as the traditional site of the coronation of the kings of France. Most of today's Grand Est region was considered "Eastern" as early as the 8th century, when it constituted the southern part of the Francian territory of Austrasia. This history is reflected in the variety of languages spoken there ( Alsatian, Champenois, and Lorraine Franconian).
The East of France has a rich and diverse culture, being situated at a crossroads between the Latin and Germanic worlds. The prefecture and largest city is Strasbourg. As of 2020, it had a population of 5,562,651 inhabitants. It shares borders with Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Switzerland. The region sits astride three water basins ( Seine, Meuse and Rhine), spanning an area of 57,433 km 2 (22,175 sq mi), the fifth largest in France it includes two mountain ranges ( Vosges and Ardennes). It superseded three former administrative regions, Alsace, Champagne-Ardenne and Lorraine, on 1 January 2016 under the provisional name of Alsace-Champagne-Ardenne-Lorraine ( pronounced ACAL or, less commonly, ALCA), as a result of territorial reform which had been passed by the French Parliament in 2014. Rhine Franconian: Groß Oschte German: Großer Osten English: "Great East") is an administrative region in Northeastern France. I have never been happy since there taking over and will not being any of my other kids here if they need work.Grand Est ( French: ( listen) Alsatian: Grossa Oschta Moselle Franconian/ Luxembourgish: Grouss Osten Well, I’m sitting right here and they have phones, so I ask the office manager why they didn’t have their phones the other day when I wanted to discuss the replacement and she got an attitude and told me they always had phones and that the Bethlehem office said that because my sons chart was a paper chart and not computer. Also when I called the other day, the Bethlehem office had to set everything up for us to come in and told me it was because the Lancaster office has no phones because of their future move of offices. Now 6 months later when the retainer cracks from grinding the office manager, who was the one who told us originally, told us she never said that. All of our payments had been made prior to their purchase so they were very quick in getting us out the door, but in the process informed us our appliances would be replaced once if broken. We were patients of Dr Knepley who sold his business to Spark right at the end of my sons treatment. But my son's teeth were significantly straighter once removed so I was happy with the results. Lucky for me, my insurance allows my son to have his braces replaced somewhere else so it worked out for us, but others might not be so lenient. My only advice for future patients is, be sure you have all of your general dentistry completed before putting braces on, no matter what the dentist says, because if you run into an issue and need the braces removed for awhile, this office is not going to be helpful to you. The pregnant woman who removed my son's braces was super sweet and that made up for any issue I incurred so at the end I am happy to leave a positive review. I thought that the facility itself was very clean, state of the art, friendly staff and the people who actually apply and remove the braces are kind and informative, the Dr was also informative, although not as attentive as I would have preferred. All in all, my experience with this ortho was beneficial but they seriously need to get rid of the lady at the front desk with the long hair- she has a serious attitude and needs better customer service skills.
